In Memory of Rich Willis — Mmmmmm….. COFFEE!!!!

The creative juices flowed this past weekend, but I couldn’t figure out a way to get this on Rich’s Facebook page.  Wall posting is not conducive to poetry, really.  If someone wants to create a “note” on Rich’s Facebook “notes” page, and copy and paste this in there, then that will be great.  I just wanted to share this with everyone, and didn’t know how else to do it.

When we see your face again,
Precious brother, dearest friend,
When we see your face again,
Happy we will be.

Witty words and dimpled smiles,
Carried us through many miles,
Acts of kindness, mercy too,
All of this you’d do.

Times remembered, days you spent,
Phone calls made and emails sent,
All done for Encouragement,
Just to help us through.

Within you, we saw, for sure,
Steadfast faith that did endure,
For the sake of Him so Pure,
Father of your heart.

Now it’s over, you have won
Rest well earned for journey done,
Time with Father, Spirit, Son,
Floods your soul with joy!

Though you’ve left us all behind,
We know we’re still on your mind,
With your prayer list, you remind,
“God, these are their needs.”

And I’m sure along with prayer,
You’ll find other ways to care,
Things to do, and things to share,
Never to be still.

Time inventin’, and  creatin’,
Some new thought’s been percolatin’,
As you are anticipatin’
All your friends held dear.

And when time is now no more,
And we cross that blessed shore,
You’ll have lots of things in store,
Just to share with us.

But the blessing, Rich, will be,
When your smiling face we see,
With you for eternity,
Never part again.

So Lord Jesus, let Rich know,
Just how much we love him so,
To Your arms we let him go,
For this little while.

Looking forward to the day,
When we hear our brother say,
“Howdy!” in that special way,
As we reunite.

When we see your face again,
Brother Rich, our dearest friend,
In that Place that Has No End,
HAPPY we will be!
