A friend of mine on Facebook brought out a good point today, and I thought I would write about it here.
Today is Memorial Day. Do you know what we celebrate today? Well, if you’re not sure, then let me tell you.
According to www.usmemorialday.org, Memorial Day was originally called “Decoration Day” and is a celebration to commemorate those who have given their lives in service to this country. There are lots of theories as to where the practice of remembering fallen soldiers actually originated in this country. (more…)

Greetings to all who enter here!
Back on March 22, I posted that it had been too long since I had written anything on this blog, and said that in about two weeks from that time I would be letting everyone know what had been going on.
Well, I DID write a post last month, actually 5 separate posts, explaining events that took place during my silence here. The series of posts was called “A Journey with God” and I thought my description of what God had been leading me through was pretty clear.

I was asked to write a devotional for our church’s women’s group newsletter, and I wanted to share it here with you all.
